2023 MacBook Air with 15-inch display will go into mass production in Q4 2023

As Apple plans a new MacBook Air form factor, TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts the 15-inch device will be fully doubled.

It’s unclear if it’s something he learned through the supply chain or something he made up on the spot. In any event, new names would make it easier for customers to distinguish between the regular 13.3-inch MacBook Air and the larger one.

Analyst Ross Young previously remained silent on the mass production schedule for the 15-inch MacBook Air. Fortunately, according to Kuo, if all goes according to plan, Apple could begin mass production in Q4, with the portable Mac becoming available to customers soon after. He also thinks the 15-inch screen will draw more power than the 13.3-inch panel, but Apple’s intention is to offer the larger model with the same 30-watt power adapter.

Despite the fact that the 15-inch screen may require more power, Apple can counter the high power consumption of the panel with a larger battery, as the overall footprint of the MacBook Air will be larger. Future customers may be able to enjoy all-day battery life thanks to a larger capacity cell combined with Apple Silicon’s energy efficiency.

Although Kuo didn’t specify the price in his tweets, a 15-inch MacBook Air will have a bigger screen, more build materials, bigger battery, and more, so expect it to be. more expensive than the 13.3-inch model, assuming Apple does. not abandon it. While Kuo’s track record of Apple products and launch dates is legendary, we still encourage our readers to take all of this information with a grain of salt for now.
