QED Environmental Systems, Inc., launched their new stationary gas analyzer LANDTEC® BIOGAS 3000™, a next-generation system that allows continuous monitoring of the entire gas production process. Based on field-proven gas analyzer technology, this compact, self-contained device provides cost-effective online monitoring for anaerobic digestion, biogas monitoring, and landfill gas monitoring applications.
The BIOGAS 3000 uses up to 4 sampling ports to monitor methane (CH4), carbon dioxide (CO2) and oxygen (O2), with an option to monitor hydrogen sulphide (H2S) levels , hydrogen (H2) and carbon monoxide (CO) . End users can monitor up to five gases of their choice. This instrument is easy to install and maintain, and QED provides customers with a temporary replacement unit during service, resulting in no operational downtime for servicing. The BIOGAS 3000 system is simple to use and calibrate; it is calibrated to ISO/IEC 17025 standards to maximize accuracy.
QED’s latest stationary gas analyzer offers a continuous monitoring option for CH4, CO2 and O2 and by adding external H2S sensors in ranges between 50 and 10,000 ppm it is the perfect tool for monitor before and after desulfurization. Additionally, pre-calibrated sensors are available to help operators avoid downtime. Full liquid level monitoring with an assigned alarm and optional moisture removal drain or automatic drain that empties the catch pot without manual intervention, gives operators the flexibility of simple on-site maintenance.
Housed in an IP65 rated enclosure, this device is (ATEX) and IECEx (IEC System of Certification to Standards for Equipment for Use in Explosive Atmospheres) Zone 2 approved. A variety of communication options are available for a SCADA system; this includes 6 configurable 4-20mA outputs with Modbus RTU communication protocol. In addition, Process Field Bus (PROFIBUS), Process Field Net (PROFINET) and Ethernet communication protocols are also available.
