WEST MELBOURNE, FL /ACCESSWIRE/October 26, 2022/ BK Technologies Corporation (NYSE American: BKTI) today announced that it has begun production of its KNG mobile series radios at its manufacturing facility in Melbourne, Florida, and expects the radios to be exclusively made in the USA from 2023.
As previously announced, in April 2021 the company expanded its printed circuit board assembly capabilities and capability at its Melbourne factory with the addition of surface mount technology (SMT) equipment. With improved production capabilities, BK can now fully support the in-house manufacturing of its KNG product family. The company expects the move to improve quality control and shorten lead times and help prevent business interruptions, which will ultimately improve product cost efficiency. , inventory throughput and working capital management.
