Bounce Infinity has started production of the E1 electric scooter at its manufacturing facility in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. The company has officially announced that customer deliveries of the new Bounce Infinity E1 electric scooter will begin from April 18, 2022. For people who are not in the know, the electric scooter was launched in December 2021 in Bengaluru.
Commenting on the historic occasion, Mr. Vivekananda Hallekere, Co-Founder and CEO, Bounce Infinity said, “With the rollout of the Bounce Infinity E1 from our factory, we are thrilled that the first batch of our electric scooters will soon be sounding to customers who eagerly waiting across the country. We are all excited about the future of mobility in India and proud to play a part in it.
The Bounce Infinity E1 is the only electric scooter in India offered as a scooter with battery and charger, and scooter with Battery-as-a-service option. While the former is priced at Rs 68,999, the scooter with Battery-As-a Service is priced at Rs 45,099. Customers will need to purchase a Battery-as-a-Service subscription.
The Bhiwadi manufacturing plant has a production capacity of 2 lakh units per year. The company also plans to set up another production plant in South India with an annual capacity increasing to 5 lakh scooters.
The Bounce Infinity E1 comes in 5 color options – Sporty Red, Sparkle Black, Pearl White, Desat Silver and Comet Grey. In terms of features, the e-scooter gets power mode, reverse mode, cruise control, and drag mode. The scooter has classic styling with LED headlights, alloy wheels and a unique seat configuration with passenger grab handle. It also has a six-axis accelerometer, over- and under-voltage protection and side stand sensor, battery motor controller, etc.
The smart scooter has a digital instrument console, features connected via Bluetooth, and more. This “Made In India” scooter is powered by a 2kWh lithium-ion battery providing a range of 85km on a single charge. The motor offers 83 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in 8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 65 km/h. The scooter offers two driving modes – Power and Eco.
