Canatu begins mass production of touch sensors for Methode Electronics

Canatu has started mass production of a new transparent 3D formable touch sensor. Canatu’s touch sensors are integrated into a center console manufactured by Methode Electronics, Inc., a global developer of custom, application-specific products and solutions. The new center console solution is integrated into an iconic luxury SUV unveiled in September 2022.

The latest announced production launch (SOP) will further strengthen the longstanding collaboration between Canatu and Methode. Methode-Canatu’s very first SOP dates back to 2015, when the companies developed a new touch sensor for an integrated overhead console in a high-end electric vehicle. To date, over 600,000 touch sensors have been successfully delivered with a truly exceptional Field Return Rate (FRR) of 0.
