Hesai Technology, a company specializing in lidar solutions for autonomous and assisted driving, announced on Thursday that its AT128 lidar has been selected for several advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), totaling several million business units. such as Li Auto
Eletre’s first pure electric SUV was released on Wednesday, equipped with a deployable lidar system and advanced autonomous driving assistance technology.
The car’s main front and rear lidars are the AT128, a long-range solid-state hybrid lidar developed by Hesai Technology. The deployable lidar is designed to effectively reduce wind resistance when the driver is not using the self-driving feature, which poses great challenges in minimizing the size of the lidar itself.
According to Hesai Technology, the AT128 features an ultra-high measurement rate of over 1.53 million points per second (single feedback), which translates to image-level resolution. The AT128 also has a ranging capability of 200 meters at 10% reflectivity, with effective ground detection up to 70 meters.

Additionally, each AT128 incorporates 128 high-power multi-junction VCSEL arrays, enabling true 128-channel electronic scanning. Hesai achieved the highest overall performance for the AT128 among automotive-grade lidar sensors that have been mass-produced. The lidar sensor has dimensions of 137mm x 112mm x 47mm, allowing seamless integration with the vehicle.
