Latrobe Magnesium Ltd describes the production process using waste from coal-fired power stations

Latrobe Magnesium Ltd (ASX: LMG) has a unique history with its proposed development of a production plant in Victoria’s Latrobe Valley using a world’s first patented extraction process to produce magnesium from fly ash of lignite.

CEO David Paterson presented the company’s plans, ESG credentials and investment proposition during this week’s Proactive Resource webinar.

The company is funded to build an initial 1,000 tpa plant and will later increase the plant size to 10,000 tonnes.

By recycling hazardous materials, LMG will produce up to 50% less CO2 than other magnesium producers using its acid process.
