M2 Events Group expands its production canvas with the FOR-A – rAVe live production system [PUBS]

Cypress, California, July 12, 2022 – FOR-A Corporation today announced that M2 Events Group, a producer of live corporate events, has gone all out with its FOR-A live production system for two recent high-profile events. Based on the systems ease of use and ability to optimize large screen image magnification and signal distribution, M2 Events Group used its new FOR-A system for live sessions at NADA 2022 of the automotive industry in Las Vegas and for high-level executive meetings. for a national insurance company.

For both events, M2 Events Group was the sole producer and production company, handling management, audio, video and lighting from start to finish. M2 deployed FOR-A’s HVS-1200 switcher and FA-9600 signal processor to send camera signals to screen management systems to create image magnification images (IMAG PIPS) for the large LED canvases of the events. The MFR-1000 routing switch served as a signal distribution hub, sending camera signals to multiple backstage multi-viewers for prompter, directors and producers.

“One of the big advantages of FOR-A mixers is their ease of use, the intuitive web GUI, the intuitive buttons and menu of the physical mixer controller,” said Ken Sorrell, Head of National Accounts, Music. Matters Productions. “It’s easy for any director to get started, even with a basic knowledge of video mixers in general, and they can at least find their way and get a show up and running fairly quickly.” To learn more about recent productions, please watch the video.

FOR-A’s 12G support is a big plus for M2 as they start to work with bigger and bigger screens. “Creating larger canvas sizes means scaling the infrastructure related to media and file transfer,” explained Nauman Lalani, Director of Special Projects, M2 Events Group. “The ability to use 12G-SDI is a plus as we move towards even larger canvas sizes, and need to send 4K signals to all of our screen management devices,” Lalani continued. “Additionally, the ability to create presets has been beneficial to allow us to prepare PIPS and two shots ready with a click. It made running the show much easier.

Ultimately, it’s all about reliability, said Lalani: “Equipment used in these large enterprise environments just needs to work. We can’t bother with faulty hardware on site, or SDI ports that are loose, or a power supply that doesn’t work. So the reliability of FOR-A equipment is a huge win.

The compact FOR-A HVS-1200 3RU switcher is highly portable, making it the ideal choice for mobile production and events. Ten 12G-SDI inputs are provided as standard, plus one or two M/E switches in 4K UHD and HD mode, respectively. The MFR-1000 4K Routing Switch performs 4K and 8K routing with 12G-SDI compatibility on all inputs and outputs. The FA-9600 signal processor supports HDR and wide color gamut. It offers exceptional conversion format delivery including 12G, 4K UHD, 1080p and HD/SD-SDI.
