Shoot The Company has revealed that it is handling the production of FIFA Academies, as part of the launch slate for the new FIFA+ streaming service.
FIFA launched its D2C offer yesterday, April 12, and you can find the details here. The platform includes live matches, archival content from all the men’s and women’s World Cups to film, and original content – like the HD Cutz interview series, which Broadcast Sport went behind the scenes here .
FIFA+ editor and head of content for Global Originals, James Abraham, told Broadcast Sport the service looks for authenticity and credibility in its content.
Part of the Originals slate for the new streamer is FIFA Academies, which takes a behind-the-scenes look at the best youth rosters in world football. The series kicks off with Belgian club RSC Anderlecht, which has seen the likes of Vincent Kompany, Romelu Lukaku, Youri Tielemans and Leander Dendoncker come through in recent times.
Shoot The Company produced the show, continuing its work with FIFA which included the FIFA Best Awards in 2022 as well as the official 2018 FIFA World Cup film.
