In the second season of Express, Barbara will discover that the Express kidnappings they have been tasked with solving are just the tip of the iceberg of an industry built and sustained by fear. and that the company that employs them, Zentral Risk, is a major player in a far-reaching and pervasive system of corruption that will continue to put his family’s lives in ever-increasing danger.
Joining the cast for season two are Alejo Sauras as Iker Torres, the new police chief, and Laura Laprida as Asia, the new member of the Express Team who will help the team solve cases with her unparalleled gift. Although all is not as it seems, Barbara finds hope in the relationship with the new commissioner and the Express team grows with Asia who has a dark and strange past.
Express is Starzplay’s first local production to be renewed, which is creating international originals through co-production opportunities to better curate its offering for subscribers. Produced by The Mediapro Studio, the Mediapro Group’s content creation, production and distribution factory, the series of eight one-hour episodes is set to shoot for 11 weeks in and around the city of Madrid.
The executive producers of The Mediapro Studio are Laura Fdez Espeso, Javier Mendez, Javier Pons and Iván Escobar, as well as Mireia Acosta and Peter Tortorici for Starzplay. The action thriller is written by Iván Escobar, Antonio Sánchez Olivas and Martín Suárez, David Sánchez Olivas and Alberto Rodriguez and created by Iván Escobar, who also serves as the series’ showrunner.
