The Apple iPhone 14 series is expected to launch later this year. The 2022 series of iPhones are rumored to bring several improvements over its predecessor, with rumors suggesting a new design on the Pro models, improved camera, and more. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max would also feature a higher profile and a bulkier camera module to accommodate the new internals. Now, a report says that the iPhone 14 series may have passed the development stage. According to 9to5Mac, an analyst has revealed that the iPhone 14 series is now in the “Engineering Validation Testing (EVT)” stage.
An EVT is a test that is performed when the end device is no longer in development. It is generally carried out on the first product prototypes. The purpose of this test is to see if the prototype works well and if the company can continue production. The named analyst Jeff Pu from Haiton International Securities also hinted that the lockdown in Shenzhen had no impact on the development of the iPhone 14 series.

The analyst also shared details about the iPhone 15 which is expected to launch in 2023. He said that Apple may add a Periscope camera in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max with 5X optical zoom .
Apple’s iPhone 14 series has been rumored several times. Apple is also expected to launch four iPhones this year. Rumors, however, suggest that the Cupertino-based giant won’t be bringing an iPhone Mini, but rather a larger vanilla iPhone that could be named “iPhone 14 Max.”

Recently, it was reported that Apple iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will retain the Apple A15 Bionic chip that powers the iPhone 13 and iPhone SE 3 series, and the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will get a new Apple chip A16 Bionic. It was also recently rumored that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max might have larger dimensions, which will be due to a new camera module. iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are rumored to feature a perforated pill-shaped screen instead of a notch repeatedly.
