Integer, a medical device outsourcing (MDO) manufacturer, has selected Critical Manufacturing’s Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to improve its global production processes.
The company provides medical technologies in the cardiac, neuromodulation, vascular and wearable medical markets.
Integer intends to implement the full suite of Critical Manufacturing MES modules following a pilot project that will take place at an Integer site in Ireland. If successful, the Critical Manufacturing MES will be deployed as an enterprise-wide product and value stream solution at Integer’s manufacturing sites worldwide.

The goal of deploying Critical Manufacturing MES at Integer will be to improve quality and remove manual and repetitive paper-based steps from production processes. The inherent traceability of MES will further provide electronic device history records (eHDR), enabling better control of manufacturing data and documentation and a seamless connection between production and quality.

Critical Manufacturing MES paves the way for Industry 4.0 manufacturing. It brings together data from existing equipment and new distributed edge processing devices, then adds the necessary context to reveal ideas for improvement. All product and process information is collected and stored in comprehensive, self-audited eDHRs.
