The NBCU Cable Entertainment Operations Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing the team’s initiatives. Partner with leaders from marketing engineering, technical operations, and all key areas of the business to improve our workflows and systems. Audit, innovate and improve the efficiency of all post-production workflows in our virtual environments. Includes cross-functional collaboration with other departments.
Identify innovations to improve our communication and workflows
Develop and test systems and workflows and gain insights through their feedback
Maintain the integrity of NBCUniversal content security measures for sharing, receiving or storing assets at any stage of a project
Serve as the lead on assigned projects and share regular updates
Coordinate and facilitate training sessions for our teams on all of our publications and media management workflows
Develop and streamline internal and external integration for raw and finished asset access and delivery
Support and troubleshoot issues with our tools and systems for users
Maintain and contribute to our SharePoint Hub site to host Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Technical Specifications, FAQs, Track Documents and Training Demos, etc. for internal and external users
Collaborate with production managers and in-house shoot producers to align and coordinate shoot specifications, delivery, ingest with metadata management, deployment and short/long term storage
Provide timely, clear and concise communication for project asset requests
Support the Senior Director of the Post Team as needed
Maintain our process and workflow documents to keep them up to date
Manage media storage and regular communication with team leads across all teams to monitor workflows and media retention policies that create workload and cost savings
Collaborate with engineering and technology teams to create media management workflows and a long-term media archive system for long and short-form content
Develop relationships with our Production Operations teams to improve workflow for media management of marketing content captured by Show teams
Foster healthy relationships with team leaders across all disciplines
Manage special projects as needed
Keep abreast of industry trends and innovations to maintain effective and efficient communication and workflows
· Supervise the junior staff of the team
· Licence
· At least 5 years of experience working on a cable or broadcast network with experience in post-production an asset: video, motion graphics, digital, print and / or project management
· Willingness to work overtime and weekends on short notice
Must be willing to work in New York or Los Angeles, CA Office
